| At St. Michael’s we promote participation
between home, school, and parish and we actively promote the
benefits of Catholic education. We believe that in our quest
for excellence in Catholic education based on Gospel values,
we create a nurturing environment that promotes self-esteem
and respect for one another as we build a foundation for the
future of our homes, school, church, and society.
St. Michael School is linked together with a number of parishes.
These parishes are St. Patrick’s, Christ the King Church,
Our Lady of Hope and St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church
in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario,
Canada.
On a regular basis, Father Tony, from Christ the King comes
to our school and helps us celebrate the Eucharist and our
faith. On occasion, we attend mass at Christ the King Church
where Father Tony celebrates daily mass at noon.

The name Michael signifies "Who is like to God,"
and was the war cry of the good angels in the battle fought
in heaven against satan and his followers. The Holy Scripture
describes St. Michael as "one of the chief princes,"
and leader of the forces of heaven in their triumph over the
powers of hell. He has been especially honored and invoked
as patron and protector by the Church from the time of the
Apostles. Although he is always called "the Archangel"
the Greek Father and many others place him over all the angels
as Prince of the Seraphim.
St. Michael is the patron of grocers, mariners, paratroopers,
police, and sickness.
